Yakwool

Soft and Fine like Cashmere and Just as Rare

The fine underwool of these robust carrier animals with their long horns is not yet as common in the hand knitting industry. It is quite scarce as the yak farmers prefer to rent or use their animals to carry loads instead of combing them or collecting their wool from the bushes. In order to make the yarn affordable anyway, it is often mixed with other exclusive fibres like for example silk.
